Case study of a frozen food company that defined one standard onboard unit for its whole refrigerated fleet: the Industrial Shields Ardbox Analog with GPRS and GPS, from the 20 I/Os family. The priorities were the GPS position and the temperature of the goods. The unit saves some data locally and sends most of it over GPRS to the data centre for analysis and decisions in real time. In the first test, at the end of summer, on a local route with many trailer openings and on a long route, the cold chain was not threatened in any case.
