Case study: water treatment with an ESP32 PLC 42 and a Raspberry Pi Panel PC

Case study of a water treatment station built with Industrial Shields equipment. One ESP32 PLC 42, programmed with the Arduino IDE, reads four analog pH and chlorine sensors in the untreated and the treated water tank, opens the dosing solenoid valves, regulates the dosing pump and drives the water pump. It sends every value over MQTT on Ethernet to a TouchBerry Pi 10.1" Panel PC, where the operators see the plant and change the set points from another location.

The PDF covers the challenge, the dosing and supervision loops, the system architecture with the signal list and the hardware used. Interactive version: water treatment case study online.
