Success story: weather station in the Yaqui Valley with an M-Duino 42

Success story of the Red de Estaciones Meteorológicas del Distrito de Riego del Río Yaqui, Mexico. Ing. Juan Carlos Raygoza, from Ciudad Obregón, Sonora, developed, designed and installed a weather station in the Yaqui Valley around one Industrial Shields M-Duino 42. The PLC reads ADCON sensors for temperature, humidity, solar radiation, wind speed, barometric pressure and rain, keeps a local copy on an SD card with the time from an RTC, and sends the data to a Telnet server with a database and a REST service. MetApp, the station web app, shows the values on a desktop or a mobile device, and some settings change by remote control.

The PDF covers the challenge, the three loops (read, survive, adjust), the system architecture with the signal list, real photos from the station and the hardware used. Interactive version: weather station success story online.
