Case study of a street lighting supply watched with an Industrial Shields M-Duino PLC. The PLC reads a current analyzer over RS-485 with Modbus RTU, compares the current with a limit set in its program, raises an alarm over Ethernet and can open a contactor. A TouchBerry Pi Panel PC runs an MQTT broker and Node-RED, shows the data live and gives remote access through a VPN.
