Case study: automated warehouse with an Arduino PLC

Case study of an automated warehouse for boxes of different weights, designed with Industrial Shields equipment. One M-Duino PLC manages the motors: three axes (X, Y and Z) with PUL, DIR and ENA drivers, and two conveyors on drives. An IR sensor detects the box at the shelves and a load cell weighs it, so the heaviest boxes go to the bottom of the shelf. TouchBerry Pi 10.1" screens read QR codes over USB at check-in and at every loading dock, and a server connects every process over WiFi.

The PDF covers the challenge, the three loops (check in, store, ship), the system architecture with the signal list and the hardware used. Interactive version: automated warehouse case study online.
