Success story of Fortaps, a family owned plastic parts manufacturer in Tarragona, Spain, that makes about 30 million units a year. Four Industrial Shields M-Duino PLCs on the production LAN read encoders and sensors on eight production lines, control start and stop outputs and send the data to a MySQL database. The database is connected to the ERP for stock and orders. The PLCs have run 24 hours a day for more than two years without issue, in a plant with very high summer temperatures.
