Case study of a pneumatic gate control system built with two Industrial Shields ESP32 PLC 42 units. The PLCs drive 18 gates with pneumatic cylinders and 9 signal pilots. The open and close commands come over the network from a MySQL database, so the database decides which gate moves and the PLC sets the outputs. The customer programmed the system and put it into service on their own, with the Industrial Shields documentation and the free MQTT and Modbus courses on the website.
