Industrial Shields participated in the SME Instrument Phase 2 Welcome Day of the European Innovation Council celebrated on October 15th and 16th in Brussels. This meeting brought together 75 beneficiary companies of the European subsidy H2020, dedicated to promoting research and innovation in small and medium-sized companies, developing technology and products focused on productivity, efficiency and sustainability.
Welcome Day is an event organized by the Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (EASME), where participating companies share experiences with the project coordinators. On behalf of Industrial Shields -known for its programmable logic controllers-, the CEO of the company and the marketing director attended the conference. For two days, they participated in workshops composed of small work groups and covered different subjects of the projects, as well as the additional and support services available to the beneficiaries of the program.
The European H2020 project will boost more than five thousand SMEs and 1400 of them will receive grants exceeding half a million euros. Among all the applicants, only a rate from 5 to 8 % succeed achieving these European grants.
Spain is the fourth country in terms of return on investments, behind Germany, the United Kingdom and France, who occupy the first positions referring to the awarded grants. Last July, Industrial Shields passed the interview to overcome the last phase of this program; finally, the Gran Agreement was signed in October.
Thanks to the European grant, this technological company, which manufactures and sells different kinds of industrial PLC, Panel Pcs and OpenMotes based on open source technology, will be able to continue its expansion and extend its range of products with the launch of new devices for industry 4.0, IoT solutions, robotics or automation.
