ESP32 PLC 14: compact Arduino-programmable PLC with Ethernet, Wi-Fi and RS-485
The ESP32 PLC 14 is an industrial controller from Industrial Shields built on the dual-core ESP32. It has 14 I/O (9 inputs and 5 outputs, including one 230 Vac relay), Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth LE and an RS-485 port, and mounts on a DIN rail. It is programmed in C++ with the Arduino IDE and suits small machines, pumping stations and remote monitoring nodes where a compact, connected controller is enough.
You are viewing the FLEX version: add one LoRa, 4G, CAN or RTC board.

How do I program the ESP32 PLC 14?
With the Arduino IDE (1.8.0 or later). Add the Industrial Shields boards URL in Preferences, install the "industrialshields-esp32" package and select the ESP32 PLC 14. Upload through micro USB, or remotely over Ethernet once the first program is loaded.
Can the analog inputs read 4-20 mA sensors?
Yes. The two analog inputs work in 0-10 V or 4-20 mA mode, selected by software, with 11-bit resolution.
What can the relay output switch?
Up to 4 A at 230 Vac or 2 A at 24 Vdc with a resistive load. For inductive loads such as contactor coils, add an RC snubber sized for the load.
Does it support LoRa, 4G or CAN?
Not in the CORE version, which ships without an expansion board. The FLEX version takes one board: LoRa (EU, US or Asia band), 4G LTE-M/NB-IoT, CAN or RTC.
What if I need more I/O?
The ESP32 PLC 21 has 13 inputs and 8 outputs with the same programming environment. Larger ESP32 PLC models reach up to 58 I/O.
