Hi to all.

My question: I would like to use the product in object, and in the datasheet ( about on input ) it is written that we have to use a current between the range 2-12 mA. So the correct resistance ( that is  the value) is external ( depended on Vexternal)  and we have to add. Correct?  In the scheme ( https://www.industrialshields.com/shop/product/is-io220vac-5t24vdc-optoisolated-digital-input-module-converter-12vdc-vdc-to-220vac-to-5-24vdc-555?category=5#attr=) I don't see any mention on this.

Dear Alessandro,

There is no need to add / connect any resistor in the circuit at all. The output pins will source the same voltage as they are powered with.

If you really want to use a resistor, it depends on the voltage you are powering the pins with (5-24Vdc). The output current is 20mA.
