Hi All, I am new to Ardbox and trying to get a simple project going and I am struggling to get the Ardbox to talk to a Nextion HMI screen.

I am using the Easy Nextion Library which initialises a serial port (I am assuming Serial1 for the Ardbox) and then listens for anything coming in from the Nextion HMI screen.

However, I am getting nothing and I am suspicious of how I have connected everything up. I have connected the RX of the Nextion to the TX of the Ardbox and correspondingly the Nextion TX to the Ardbox RX. I have set the jumpers inside and the DIP switches as per the instruction manual. I would now expect that I should be able to bell through with a continuity tester from the Leonardo RX and TX to the main Ardbox RX and TX but I cannot! Is this normal?

Also, are the ports on the Ardbox Serial1 or some other serial port number?

Glad of any help available.

Hello,

The RS-232 from the Ardbox Relay HF+ is connected to pins 4 (TX) and 8 (RX) from the Leonardo board, so you should not be looking at the Serial1 port.

Maybe it is a setup configuration (baudrate, connections), if you could share the HMI screen specifications I can give you a hand.

Can we get an exhausive description about the DIP siwthces and jumpers to ensure everything is correct? What example or code are you trying?

Best regards,

Bernat
