Can't connect to ESP

We purchased two Industrial Shields Wifi/BLE PLCs, but we do not know how to upload anything to the ESP module from the Arduino IDE. We receive the following error:


"A fatal error occurred: Failed to connect to ESP32: Timed out waiting for packet header"


On the Industrial Shields website, it says that this error can be resolved by pressing the BOOT and EN buttons on the ESP32 module, however, as this module is packaged with the Arduino, we cannot achieve this. We have tried multiple different cables to connect between computer and board.


Any help would be greatly appreciated
