What it is
moduleX is an industrial modular I/O expansion platform. It adds distributed digital and analog I/O to any controller with a Modbus RTU RS485 port. It is not a controller — it has no control logic of its own.
Can moduleX work without a PLC?
No. moduleX requires a Modbus RTU master (such as M-Duino, ESP32 PLC, Raspberry Pi PLC or GateBerry) to function. It cannot execute control logic independently.
